We create a place,
that makes sense
We are an open church based on diversity, acceptance,
and mutual respect
What values does SafePoint stand on?
The early disciples of Jesus were known as "the people of the Way." In our way of life, we seek to walk that same path — with open eyes to God and others (authenticity), open minds (faith), and open arms (respect).
Authenticity
We don't wear rose-colored glasses. Life is complex, and we know that faith in Christ doesn't guarantee a problem-free life. We don't fight with empty phrases — instead we look for real solutions together, trust in God's work, and genuinely care about each other.
Faith
We're not afraid to ask questions, we're not afraid to search for answers, we're not afraid to doubt. We believe that what truly matters for our lives is revealed in the story of Jesus of Nazareth, as told in the pages of the Bible.
Respect
Every person deserves dignity. No matter their beliefs, past, or lifestyle. We want to have open arms — not because we're used to everything, but because we believe respect is the foundation of every relationship.

Saturday sessions are an inspiring gathering that isn't just about good music, a spiritual talk, and good coffee — above all, it's about spending time together and listening to one another.
You can arrive before 11 a.m.; we usually start at exactly 11.10. After the host's introduction and a few songs — the lyrics are shown on a TV screen and you're welcome to join in the singing — someone arranged in advance reads a passage from the Bible related to the talk that follows. The talk takes about 20 minutes and is followed by 25 minutes in discussion groups, where we can talk together about everything the speaker shared.
Then we head back to our seats in the hall, a few more songs follow, along with announcements about what's coming up at SafePoint in the weeks ahead.
After the session you can stop by the kitchen, where our baristas will gladly make you a Father's coffee for a voluntary contribution — and we'd love it if you joined us for lunch somewhere near SafePoint.
SafePoint's vision focuses on being accessible to Czech speakers, so most of our program is conducted in Czech. However, we strive to be welcoming to non-Czech speakers as well. People from different countries who don't speak Czech regularly join us. That's why we provide an English translation of every sermon as a downloadable PDF during the service. After the sermon, we have discussion groups, including one that is always in English and very popular. The vast majority of people at SafePoint speak English, so you won't have any trouble finding someone to talk to. We would love to see you!
SafePoint is a community where people can freely and safely explore the spiritual depth of life. To protect this environment, we clearly reject any behaviour involving physical, psychological, or spiritual abuse.
Because we are an open community for everyone, our goal is not to judge but to protect. These boundaries are essential for the safety of the whole community. If they are crossed, we address it in a personal conversation with the leadership.
By taking part in SafePoint events, everyone signals their agreement with these principles.
We've prepared a free e-book for you, Echoes of Meaning, which explores the first steps of discovering faith. You can download it on our website. Beyond that, on our YouTube or Spotify you can listen to reflections from our sessions. In the Blog & Podcasts section you'll find more resources for your spiritual growth.
For those interested in faith, we also regularly run First Steps courses, where we focus on how to recognize God's guidance and love through the Bible and our lives. We open the course several times a year. You'll find more information here.
We are building an open community for all people without distinction. We don't want to judge anyone, but to offer a safe environment where people can experience God's acceptance, whoever they are. We reject any expression of homophobia.
We don't want to contribute to division in society or wage culture wars. We focus on the depth of Jesus's message of love. That's why we welcome people with both conservative and progressive views on these topics.
Transparency is an important value for us. SafePoint is part of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church, which is a properly registered church in the Czech Republic. It is supported as a project of the Center for the Study of Post-Christian Societies at the church's highest governing body, the General Conference. We want our community to be spiritually and relationally healthy, which is why we reject any coercive or manipulative practices of the kind found in groups with cult-like traits. We believe every person has their own unique journey, and we don't want to push anyone into a prescribed mold or place restrictive religious demands on them. God is a God of freedom and meets us right where we are. We also believe that God and his plan of salvation are available beyond the SafePoint community, which is why we want to maintain friendly relationships with other church communities.
You really can come to a Saturday session just as you are — no need to sign up in advance or dress up in any special way. You don't need to bring anything with you, not even a Bible or any prior knowledge of it.
Even people who consider themselves atheists find a place among us and want to walk part of their life's journey with us. We look forward to meeting you too!
